The museum and theatre in which it is located bear the name of an important native Alois Jirásek (1851 – 1930). The exposition is dedicated to his life and work, and above all authentic models of literary characters.
The exposition also recalls other significant natives of Hronov (painter and writer Josef Čapek, 1887 – 1945, the writer Egon Hostovsky, 1908 – 1973) and their works, and the history of the local amateur theatre and other attractions.
The second exhibition is located in the native house of Alois Jirásek, about 100 metres from the square in the direction of Police nad Metují.
