Water sports
The Rozkoš Dam is particularly suitable for water sports lovers. The dam is a paradise for sailors, surfers and fishermen. Its north part is designed for camping and swimming; in the car camp, you can rent canoes, pedal boats, surfs and other sporting supplies.
In hot summer days, it will be pleasant to go swimming to the Brodský
or Špinka ponds by Červený Kostelec or to swimming pools in Police nad Metují, Náchod and Jaroměř. 
The Brodský ponds
The Metuje River is passable for canoes year round. The Úpa River is used between Poříčí u Trutnova and Ratibořice and between Česká Skalice and Jaroměř. A canoe and raft rental service is available in Nové Město nad Metují.
