Nové Město nad Metují (national cultural monument)

The chateau forms one architectural whole with the square.

The last renovations made were undertaken by outstanding architects – Jurkovič and Janák. The chateau is an example of the adaptation of a historical building to modern living while being an excellent example of fusing historical and contemporary decorations and furnishings. Leading Czech artists contributed towards today’s Art Nouveau and Art Deco interior sections. The building has a chateau gardens and a wooden covered bridge.
