Sendraž lookout tower

Nové Město nad Metují

A wooden tower once stood on the Varta Hill. It was built at the turn of the 20th century, but in the 1950s it had to be demolished as it was in a state of disrepair. The new lookout tower was built back in 2007 by a telecommunications company, but was made accessible only two years later. The observation deck offers an excellent panoramic view. The complex is guarded by a security camera.
